Default Last Ditch Jap 99
I picked this up over the weekend. Notice that there are no marks on the reciever and that there is only the arsenal sub mark. Also it's in a modified Type38 stock and the Sling ,middle band, is on backwards. Any ideas from the Japanese collectors??. Thanks, BB

I have a rifle similar to the one you posted. If you have a copy of the Japanese T99 Arisaka Rifle, by Team Arisaka, second edition 2007, on page 66, there is a discription of your rifle.

You need to take this rifle to the Japanese forum on Gunbroker.com. They will be able to tell you more about it. They are the ones who wrote the book you are talking about. I'm sure 03man will know what it is.
